Virgin Mary: Death, and Virgin Mary: Soul borne to Heaven -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, lies with her arms crossed on her breast on draped bed, surrounded by twelve nimbed apostles. Nine apostles, including tonsured Peter and Evangelist John with censer and book; four raise their hands to their heads, mourning.
In foreground, three apostles sit; one clasps hands, the second raises right hand to his head, and the third holds open book.
Above, two nimbed angels, emerging from clouds, hold napkin in which stands nude personification of soul of Virgin Mary, with joined hands raised.
