1) Isaac the Presbyter: Scene, fleeing from Brothers -- Within domed hermitage, Isaac the Presbyter, nimbed, wearing monk’s habit, with right hand raised toward leaping ass, head turned back to group of tonsured monks.
2) Rufinus of Aquileia, De Vitis Patrum, Chapter 23: Illustration -- Within domed building, possibly monastery, group of monks, most tonsured, possiblly before figure of tonsured monk, all wearing monk’s habits, kneeling with right hand holding scythe to one of two plants.
