Margin, left: Christ: Miracle of Canaanite Woman -- Canaanite woman, wearing veiled headdress, extending both hands toward Christ, cross-nimbed, turning back toward her, accompanied by group of six men, at least two are nimbed saints. Scene in hilly landscape with buildings in background. Illustration for Matins on Thursday in Quadragesima, Matthew 15:21. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by angels, one emerging from cloud, both gesturing (right); and half figures of two men, with right forefingers raised, amid foliage (upper and lower right).
