Joshua: God’s Charge -- Within initial E, Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, accompanied by possibly Joshua, both behind Moses, nimbed, horned, reclining with eyes closed beneath drapery on bed, with head on pillow (Moses: Death); all in bedroom. Illustration for Matins on Thursday in Quadragesima, Joshua 01:01. Initial Q enclosing head of man, wearing hat. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by half figure of man, raising left forefinger, amid foliage, flanked above and below by angels, playing trumpets (left); and half figures of men raising right forefingers (upper and lower left).
