Margins decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls; in lower margin, seated man (?) wearing hood, holding and looking at scroll with pseudo-inscription (reading). Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on Wednesday following fourth Sunday after Easter.
