Avis aus Roys: Text, Book IV, Chapter 23 -- Within group of tents, two soldiers, wearing helmets and mail, look out from tents to right at fortified castle. One soldier wears ailettes and carries shield with left hand and sheathed sword at waist. Between tents and castle are four upright poles. One pole is attached to castle by ropes.
Avis aus Roys: Text, Book IV, Chapter 24 -- Soldier pulls rope attached to short arm of trebuchet; sling with stones hangs from long arm. To right, another soldier, holding pickaxe, climbs ladder placed against castle. Below, third soldier strikes wall of castle with pickaxe.
