Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, crossed nimbus, carries tau cross on left shoulder. Rope leads from Christ to left hand of soldier, holding rod with right hand, kicking Christ with left foot. Soldier next to him raises switches with right hand. Evangelist John, nimbed, extends right arm around waist of Christ; Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, is at His side, heads touching, extending left arm around Him. Three other Holy Women, nimbed and veiled, are behind her. Mary Magdalen, nimbed, is prone before Christ, kissing his left foot. More soldiers are in background carrying swords, halberd, and spear. Three horsemen, wearing hats, are at right, one holding banner with right hand. Scene in landscape with building on hill in distance.
