Initial B enclosing bust of Christ-Logos, crossed nimbus, emerging from cloud in upper loop; below, David, crowned, playing psaltery with both hands, seated before curtain. Initial decorated with foliate ornament; to left of the initial, man, nimbed, possibly prophet, indicating Christ-Logos with right hand and holding scroll with pseudo-inscription with left hand, standing on stone. Margins decorated with foliate ornament with gold balls; in lower margin, two medallions enclosing effaced escutcheons. Pen-flourished initial. Text is beginning of Psalter, Psalm 1 (Vulg., 1).
