Shepherds: Annunciation -- Half figures of two shepherds, wearing hoods, one resting hands on staff, the other with left hand holding bagpipe and with right hand raised toward half figure of angel in arc of heaven.
Scene in hilly landscape with flock of approximately seven sheep in background.
Miniature for beginning of Terce of Hours of the Virgin.
Margins inhabited by two butterflies and scattered with naturalistic flowers and plants including viola and sweet pea; against silver background.
