Scene, Liturgical: Obsequies and Death, Scene: Struggle for Soul -- Deceased man, nude, reclines on shroud. Nun, monk, and two clerics, all holding open books, sit on bench before wall. Above amid rays descending from frame, Archangel Michael, holding left arm of soul with his left hand, points end of cross staff toward outstretched arms of winged devil behind soul.
Foliate initial D decorated with floreate ornament. Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including grapevine, and inhabited by peacock, and by man, wearing hat, holding bow and arrow.
