Christ: Miracle of raising Lazarus -- Christ, with rays as nimbus, raises right hand in blessing toward Lazarus, nimbed, draped in robe or shroud, seated with joined hands raised in sarcophagus. Beside the sarcophagus kneel Mary and Martha of Bethany, both nimbed and veiled. On tile floor beside them is ointment jar. In background stand nimbed Apostles and two men, wearing pointed hats, one with his mantle raised to his face. Landscape with hills and buildings visible through arched openings in arcade in background.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame, with pilasters with Corinthian capitals and decorative panels. In lower margin:
Scene, Liturgical: Burial -- Man, wearing hat, standing in stone tomb or sarcophagus, holds in both hands body of Carthusian monk, wrapped in shroud or habit. Flanking the tomb are six monks, all wearing Carthusian habits, including one holding aspergil, one holding open book, and one holding closed book. In background are three cemetery crosses, including two with crucifixes, and arcade.
