Christ: bearing Cross -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, supports arm of cross borne by Christ, cross-nimbed, on His left shoulder. At right, man stands, holding hammer.
Scene with gold background, within decorated initial D embellished with filigree in spandrels. Margins decorated with foliate extensions, and inhabited by dog seated in the lower margin.
