David: communicating with God -- God, as half-figure, emanating rays, with right hand raised in blessing and holding globe in left hand, appears above draped altar, before which kneels David, wearing ermine-collared mantle, with both hands raised. Beside David on tile floor are ermine-trimmed hat and harp. Scene in room with cloth wall hangings and leaded-glass, arched windows.
Margins with floreate and vinescroll ornament, inhabited by fantastic bird-man hybrid and bird.
