Two scenes within miniature:
1) Joachim: Offerings rejected -- Within architectural setting, High Priest, wearing miter and vestments, raises both hands to Joachim, kneeling, hat on ground, extending lamb held in both arms. Two men look on.
2) Joachim: bidden to return from Wilderness -- Outside of architectural setting, within landscape, angel extends arms towards Joachim, raising both arms. He stands beside flock of sheep tended by man playing pipe. A second man, using pole, walks across bridge over river. A third man, supporting himself with staff, tends flock of sheep.
In background are buildings of city.
