Margin, upper: Personification of Vice, Lust, inscribed LUXURE, is represented by man, wearing hat, extending right hand to extended right hand of woman, wearing black headdress and dress with black trim, accompanied by horned devil with claw feet. Figures stand in room with two arched windows, decorative wall and tiled floor. Arched vignette within block border of floreate and foliate decoration, including roses. Margin, lower: Daniel: in Lions’ Den -- Beneath rays descending from arc of heaven and starry sky, Daniel, name inscribed DANIEL, bearded, wearing hat, orant, is surrounded by three lions, two licking him at shoulders, one with extended tongue, all within broken wall (suggesting link with Zodiac Sign: Leo). Scene in hilly landscape with trees and city in background. Square vignette within block border of floreate and foliate decoration, including currants. Block border at right margin of floreate and foliate decoration, including violas.
