Scene, Liturgical: Burial -- Two men hold body in cross-inscribed shroud above grave. Beside the grave stand tonsured deacon, holding processional cross, three tonsured priests, wearing jeweled copes, including one holding aspergil in right hand and touching open book held by a second tonsured deacon. Behind stand third tonsured deacon and four hooded mourners, one with joined hands raised. Scene in graveyard before Gothic church.
Above, angel, holding arms of nude personification of soul, with joined hands, and horned devil, winged, holding feet of the soul, struggle (Death: Scene, Struggle for Soul).
Margins with foliate ornament, inhabited by bird and hybrid man, winged, wearing hat and horn on strap across his breast, with single-horned face on his hindquarters, holding spindle in left hand.
