Within initial I, below arches, Ezra (?) in upper register, right hand on breast, and Cyrus the Great, crowned, raising left hand in lower register, looking upward. In center margin, head of animal biting top of initial; fantastic animal, winged, holding object in open mouth, body supporting base of the initial. Beginning of Ezra (Vulg., I Esdras).
