Christ: Deposition -- Nicodemus, bald, standing on ladder leaning against tau cross with titulus inscribed INRI, with right arm supports partially-draped body of Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus, wearing crown of thorns, with feet affixed to cross with one nail. At the base of the cross stands Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat and ermine-trimmed garment, with arms raised to catch the Christ. Around the base of the cross are Evangelist John, with rays as nimbus, supporting Virgin Mary, with rays as nimbus, veiled, with arms crossed on her breast, possibly swooning. To right is Mary Magdalen, with rays as nimbus, wearing turban-like headdress, sitting with joined hands raised; and standing Holy Woman, with rays as nimbus, wearing headdress. Scene in landscape with distant hills and trees.
