Christ: of Sorrows -- Christ, crossed nimbus, with crown of thorns, head inclined, bleeding from wounds, with arms crossed on abdomen, wearing loincloth, stands in sarcophagus, draped with grave cloth. He is flanked by spear and by sponge on reed leaning on cross arms with two nails from which blood flow, and two lengths of rope looped over the arms. Cross has titulus INRI. Third nail, bloody, is on ground, lower left of miniature.
Caption above miniature HIC EST TITULUS TRIUMPHALI IHESUS NAZAREN(US) REX IUDEORUM.
