Column, right: Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, cross-nimbed, head inclined, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in hands, side, and feet, is affixed with three nails to cross surmounted with titulus inscribed INRI from John 19:19, flanked below by Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, and Evangelist John, hands clasped, both nimbed. Scene in rocky landscape against patterned background. Illustration for Lauds for Good Friday. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration inhabited by half figures of two prophets, wearing hats, emerging from clouds, both holding scrolls inscribed CUM ACCEPISSET and PROPRIO FILIO SUO (right).
