David: Altar in Threshingfloor of Araunah, and Joab: numbering People -- David, crowned, kneels with joined hands raised toward draped altar, upon which is Tabernacle of Israel. At right, Joab, wearing hat, with purse at waist, holds scroll with pseudo-inscription in left hand and with right hand points at group of Israelites, some wearing hats. Scene with diapered background.
In upper, lower, and center margins, ivy-rinceaux foliate decoration.
