David: communicating with God -- David, nimbed, wearing loin cloth, with hands extended, is stepping out of pit. At right are hands of God. Scene in landscape setting, within decorated initial D.
Margin is decorated with floreate border, inhabited by putti and birds. At top is head of God, nimbed.
David: as Musician -- In lower margin is vignette in which is half figure of David, nimbed, playing psaltery with both hands.
