Magi: Adoration -- Eldest Magus, extending right hand to right hand of nude Christ Child, nimbed, held by both hands of Virgin Mary, nimbed, seated on box or bench below canopy and before cloth of honor. Footed cup in which are gold coins, and hat decorated with gold fleur-de-lis are on ground next to the Magus. Of the other two Magi, one black, wearing turban with fleur-de-lis, holding globular container with left hand, looks toward the third Magus, wearing hat decorated with fleur-de-lis, indicating upward with right hand and holding reliquary-like vessel with left hand. Rays descend through hole in roof. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hood, raising right hand to head, is behind open half-door.
Margins decorated with border of floreate and foliate ornament including strawberry, white vine scroll, viola, rose, and speedwell, and inhabited by lion.
