Divina Commedia, Inferno: Scene, Approach and Entry into Dis -- Virgil with both hands covers face of Dante, wearing hat, both standing. To right, Virgil is shown again, turning from gate of city of Dis. Standing on the tower above the gate are two devils on balcony, and above, Medusa, with serpents for hair, and two Furies. Within the walls of the city to right are more winged devils.
