Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, kneels (?) at head of wattle crib in which is Christ Child, nimbed and swaddled. Ass and ox are behind the crib. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing Jew's hat, resting head on right hand, is seated in foreground.
Scene caption, NATIUITAS XPI, is inscribed in upper margin.
Right column:
Joseph: as Interpreter of Dreams -- Next to three branches of grape vine, butler reclines, head on cushion, feet in stocks, holding cup with left hand, and squeezing grapes on the vine over the cup.
Scene caption, PINC(ER)NA PH(AR)OIS UIDIT UITE(M) HABENTEM TRES PROPAGINES, is inscribed in upper margin.
