Beginning of II Kings.
Elijah: Ascension and Jehu: anointed -- Elijah rides in chariot, drawn by two horses, toward clouds, from which emerge hand of God making gesture of blessing. Below, man, wearing hat, holds jar in raised left hand and with right hand touches head of Jesu, crowned, seated in throne, with right hand raised. Scene within decorated initial P, which also contains three crowned heads within descender.
In left margin are two monkeys, one of which is seated and holds jar in right hand. In lower margin are two mounted figures jousting. Both wear armor and hold lances in left hands and carry shields. On right side of lower margin is musician, playing trumpet and head emerging from foliage.
