David and Bathsheba: Bathsheba bathing -- Bathsheba, nude, wearing cross on chain around her neck, stands in fountain. Water emerges from heads ringing column and from mouth of lion atop the column at end of the fountain. Maidservant, wearing headdress, stands next to the fountain holding mirror. Behind them, David, wearing crown on hat, holding scepter with right hand, stands in arched opening of building, looking toward Bathsheba.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including viola, daisy, and dianthus and inhabited by bird and fantastic animal.
