Evangelist, John: Scene, on Patmos and Evangelist, John: Scene, Devil stealing Inkpot -- Evangelist John, nimbed, is seated, writing with quill in right hand on scroll held on his lap by left hand. At left is winged devil with single horn, holding pen case in right hand and spilling (?) ink from inkbottle in left hand. At right is evangelist symbol (eagle).
Scene in coastal landscape on island and with walled castle and other buildings on hills in distance.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament inhabited by bird.
