Christ: Flight into Egypt, Fall of Idols -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, wearing veil, with both hands holding Christ Child, nimbus as rays, wrapped in swaddling bands, both astride bridled ass, led by Joseph the Carpenter, wearing cap, with left hand holding pouch suspended on stick. Broken idol falls from column in background. On summit of grassy hill with trees is house. Margins decorated with borders of strewn flowers, including daisy and viola, and inhabited by centipede. Miniature facing the beginning of Compline in Hours of the Virgin.
