Virgin Mary: Death -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with wimple, arms crossed on her abdomen, possibly holding candle with right hand , semi-reclines on draped bed or couch. She is surrounded by ten (?) apostles, seven nimbed, one holding gold object, one, possibly Peter, holding candle, and Evangelist John kneeling at foot of bed, raising left hand and looking left. All figures wear garments in grisaille.
Scene in room with vaulted ceiling and apse, decorated with architectural ornament.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame decorated with: two putti holding ends of cord on top of frame; three putti, one winged, two grasping cord in right margin and one grasping right column next to the cord; half figure of putto emerging from foliage, hands outstretched, grasping vine.
