Shepherds: Annunciation -- One of two shepherds is seated on ground, holding pedum in right hand and raising left hand. The other, wearing cap, holding pedum in left hand, with right hand indicates, and looks up towards, angel, amid rays, hovering, holding with both hands, scroll with pseudo-inscription. Scene in landscape with sheep, hills with trees, and city in background.
Miniature within arched frame supported by columns and architectural elements.
Margins decorated with floreate and foliate ornament, including large branches, rose and dianthus, and inhabited by moth, fantastic bird, and fantastic animal with face on abdomen.
