Margin, upper: Personification of Virtue, Chastity, inscribed CHASTETE, is represented by woman, crowned with wreath of flowers, raising right hand to breast and gathering fold of mantle in left hand, standing in room with four arched windows, decorative wall and tiled floor. Arched vignette within block border of floreate and foliate decoration, including daisies. Margin, lower: Month, Occupation: August -- Before sheaves of grain, man, wearing hat, holds basket, catching grain, beside two men, wearing hats, raising flails; building with window (threshing). Medallion vignette within block border of floreate and foliate decoration, including currants. Block border at right of floreate and foliate decoration, including grapes.
