Christ: Deposition -- Body of Christ, with crossed rayed nimbus, partially draped in shroud, is supported by Joseph of Arimathea, standing on ground with arms raised, and by Nicodemus, wearing hat, standing on ladder leaning against cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Beside cross is Virgin Mary, veiled, swooning with joined hands raised, supported by Evangelist John and Mary Magdalen, wearing turban, all with rays as nimbus.
Margins with scattered flowers and vinescroll, inhabited by bird and moth. Vignette in lower margin:
Christ: Bewailing -- Body of Christ, with crossed rayed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, with wounds in hands, side, and feet, lays on ground before Virgin Mary, veiled, with rays as nimbus, kneeling with joined hands. Flanking her are Evangelist John, with rays as nimbus, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea, and Mary Magdalen, wearing turban, with rays as nimbus.
