Christ: Crucifixion -- Beneath sun and moon, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing long loincloth, is affixed to cross with three nails. Titulus of cross inscribed I.N.R.I.
He is flanked by Virgin Mary, raising right hand, and Evangelist John, both nimbed. Stephaton, holding bucket, raises spear with sponge to His lips.
Decorated initial D begins Vespers.
