Miniature:
Within elaborate architectural setting, Evangelist Luke, nimbed, is seated before lectern with open, inscribed book, holding page with right hand. His upper body is turned away from lectern. Three books lie at base of lectern. Ox lies at his feet. In background are two decorated columns with two mermaids (?) at the top of each.
Initial I formed by decorative column framing left side of miniature.
