Christ: Entombment -- Nicodemus, bald, and Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat and ermine-trimmed garment, lower into stone sarcophagus body of Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus and wounds on forehead, wrapped in shroud. In front of the sarcophagus, Mary Magdalen, with rays as nimbus, wearing turban-like headdress, kneels with joined hands raised, facing the Christ. Behind the sarcophagus are Holy Woman, wearing turban-like headdress, Virgin Mary, veiled, kneeling with joined hands raised, and Evangelist John, all with rays as nimbus. Scene in landscape with trees and distant city and hills.
