Christ: before Pilate -- Christ, nimbed, wrists bound, led by helmeted soldier amid group of helmeted soldiers in doorway, wielding spears and halberds, stands beside Pilate’s courtesan (or accuser), doffing cap with left hand, all before Pilate, wearing hat, with right hand holding scepter, seated on throne beneath canopy. Decorated border of scrolling foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of Prime in Hours of the Virgin.
