Half-figure of man, enclosed in initial S, extended right hand grasping stem of leaf in left margin. Margins decorated with foliate ornament, knots and gold balls; cleric, tonsured, holding open book with both hands. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on 12.13, feast of Lucy of Syracuse.
