Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rays as nimbus, head inclined, wearing short loin cloth, blood issuing from wound in side, is affixed with three nails to cross. He is flanked by two thieves, wearing short loin cloths, arms tied over top of tau crosses. The left thief (Dysmas) looks up; the right thief (Gestas) looks down. At base of the cross are bones.
Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, hands crossed, is beside Evangelist John, nimbed. with left hand extended. At right is Holy Woman, nimbed and veiled, kneeling with joined hands raised. Behind her are soldiers, wearing armor and holding spears, and man, wearing hat.
Scene is in landscape setting, with buildings of city in distance, within frame inscribed at bottom with DE SANCTA CRUCE.
