Clovis I: Baptism -- Through doorway with view of landscape, dove of Holy Ghost, holding chrismatory in beak, flies into room amid rays of light over man standing beside font and Clovis I, partially nude, joined hands raised, kneeling on pillow under canopy decorated with fleur-de-lis. Remigius of Reims, nimbed, holding cross-staff in left hand, pours holy water from vessel of affusion over Clovis' head. Beside Remigius, man, kneeling, holds crown. Behind him are two other men, including one with sword in scabbard and the other carrying garments decorated with fleur-de-lis.
