Miniature:
Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rayed and decorated nimbus, wearing crown of thorns and loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to tau-cross, surmounted by titulus inscribed INRI. Skull and bones lie at base of the cross.
He is flanked by Virgin Mary, decorated nimbus, veiled, with hands clasped at breast, turned away from Him, Evangelist John (?), nimbed (partially visible) and Longinus, wearing hat, with spear piercing His side, and by the Centurion, wearing draped hat, with sword in scabbard at waist, holding spear with banner decorated with dragon and looking toward Him, accompanied by two men, one wearing hat. Scene with starred sky.
