Scene, Liturgical: Obsequies -- In foreground is bier or casket surmounted by catafalque. Behind it are draped altar on which is chalice. Before altar and below canopy, priest, tonsured, wearing chasuble, holding paten in left hand, extends it to face of one of seven (?) mourners wearing black hoods and garments. Behind them stand four men, the foremost extending left hand. Above painted dado in background, are four windows in one of which half figure of God, nimbed, orant appears in rayed arc of Heaven.
Miniature and text framed on three sides by rectilinear bars of gold decorated with vine scroll. Margins decorated with border of vine scroll.
