Christ: bearing Cross -- One of six (?) soldiers, holding halberds or spears (most only weapons visible), holds with right hand rope around waist of Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns. He carries tau cross on right shoulder and looks back over left shoulder toward Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with joined hands.
Scene in landscape.
Margins decorated with blocks of floreate ornament including bellflower (?), rose, and cornflower, and inhabited by bird and monkey.
