Christ: Flagellation -- Christ, nimbus as crossed rays, wearing short loin cloth, body covered in wounds, His arms bound behind Him and ankles bound by one of two tormentors, one raising scourge the other withes, another broken withes on floor and Christ’s strewn garment in foreground. Scene in vaulted room with two windows and tile floor. Decorated border of scrolling foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of Terce in Hours of the Virgin.
