Roman de la Rose: Scene, Reason chastising Lover -- Crowned Personification of Reason, with left hand raised, extends right forefinger toward Lover, wearing tunic with belted purse, raising right hand; both flank tree. Scene against diapered background within frame of miniature decorated with tendrils in right column.
