Apostle James Major, nimbed, holds with right hand, rod entwined with scallop shell on cord, and rests left hand on open book on his lap. He is seated on throne decorated with trefoil arch, beneath canopy. Throne is flanked by two arches.
Margins decorated with latticework of rods enclosing scallop shells, with two pilgrim scrips hanging on rods and third alone in margin.
