Bishop wearing miter, standing before initial I extending right hand into center margin, left hand on breast, crozier behind him. Margins decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls; in lower left margin, back-turned cleric, tonsured, seated on pillow, raising right hand to text of versicle for previous day. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on 2.24, feast of Apostle Matthias.
