Shepherds: Annunciation -- Angel in mandorla hovers above two shepherds, one, wearing hat, holding pedum with left hand, crouches, head down, covering eyes with right hand. The other shepherd sits, leaning back on left hand, and looks up toward the angel, shielding eyes with right hand. Pedum, cask and dog are on ground next to him. One group of sheep is in foreground with the shepherds; another group is in background with third shepherd.
Scene in landscape with trees and hills; fence with gate at edge of field.
Margins decorated with border of flowers including daisy, dianthus, viola, and rose, and inhabited by fly.
