Zone 1:
Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, and Elizabeth embrace in front of building with crenellated walls, multi-storied towers and door, in which stands half-hidden woman. Another woman stands between two towers. All are veiled. Hills in foreground.
Zone 2:
Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, veiled, reclines on mattress on couch beside Christ Child, scalloped crossed nimbus, in swaddling bands, lying in manger above which are heads of ass and ox and star. In foreground, Christ Child, scalloped crossed nimbus, nude, standing in tub, is being bathed by two midwives, one seated, the other pouring from pitcher.
Zone 3:
Shepherds: Annunciation -- Three shepherds, one bearded, two holding peda, the other holding dog on leash, are approached by two flying angels, each with scalloped nimbus, one holding trefoil-surmounted staff. Below, two dogs guard flock of sheep.
