Shepherds: Annunciation -- Beneath rays of arc of heaven enclosing bust of nimbed angel, one of three shepherds sits against hill, with left hand raised to left ear; the second with hat tied at back, kneels, with right arm raised shielding his eyes, and staff held in left hand; and the third sits (?), frontally, with left arm raised above head. Scene with flock of sheep in hilly landscape with castle on hill at left, city in distance, and river in lower right foreground. Decorated initial D inhabited by bird. Miniature and text within architectural frame of two columns supporting pediment.
